COMUNICATO STAMPA → Si inaugura a Roma, a cura di Francesco Ruggiero, Venerdì 9 Marzo 2018 alle ore 19.00 allestita nelle Sale espositive della Galleria Antigallery di Piazza degli Zingari, 3 la Mostra personale di Lucio Castagneri dal titolo Mitografia con il supporto critico di Dario Micacchi, Renato Civello e Carlo Munari. La Mostra sarà visitabile fino al 31 Marzo 2018. Lucio Castagneri nasce a Genova nel ‘47. Laureato in Giurisprudenza, mantenendosi all’Università suonando il saxofono in orchestre di Night Club, ha scelto la via dell’Arte, esponendo i suoi dipinti prima in Italia e in seguito, iniziando presto a viaggiare all’estero, in importanti Gallerie d’Arte in America, conoscendo il Nuovo Mondo, dai panorami tropicali di Porto Rico, alle atmosfere urbane di New York e San Francisco. Espone i suoi dipinti in Italia e all’Estero tra cui in importanti Gallerie d’Arte in America. Ha studiato ancora giovanissimo all’Art Student League di New York con Gustav Rehberger Artista considerato espressionista vulcanico e moderno uomo del Rinascimento e con Lino Bianchi Barrivera alla Scuola della Medaglia del Poligrafico di Stato. Viaggia nei Paesi Scandinavi e attraverso l’Africa arricchendo la sua esperienza visiva di Pittore. Il vissuto si manifesta anche nelle sue opere scritte per il Teatro e nei romanzi ispirati dalle antichità classiche. La critica nazionale e internazionale si è occupata e seguecostantemente del suo percorso artistico. In particolare Dario Micacchi si è espresso affermando che … Lucio Castagneri ha un conto aperto con le memorie esistenziali e culturali. La presenza del passato è ben viva e attiva nel suo lavoro, ma non ha nostalgie per l’antica bellezza chiusa nei musei a far da serbatoio di forme e colori. È un lirico primordiale e autentico, innamorato della vita quotidiana, di quelle cose banali e ordinarie delle quali scriveva Giorgio De Chirico per una Mostra di Giorgio Morandi negli anni venti. E come allora Morandi, sa stupirsi per queste cose ordinarie e scoprirle fondanti il senso della vita, tali da costruirci pittoricamente con estrema naturalezza una mitografia. Sottolinea Renato Civello che … la medietà puntigliosa di Lucio Castagneri ha, per chi sappia leggere bene nelle cose dell’arte, ascendenze classiche; anche se travestita, a volte, fino ai limiti del grottesco, anche se i toccanti problemi del vivere che l’artista ci propone sembrano uscire, qua e là, dal teatrino di un sapiente burattinaio. E si tratta, in effetti, di una classicità niente affatto aulica, non logorata nella usura dei moduli accademizzanti, impostata sulla freschezza sottilmente aggressiva di un anticonformismo gestuale e dinamico. Aggiunge Carlo Munari, che … se, come avverte Roland Barthes, caratteristica del mito è trasformare un senso in forma, direi che Lucio Castagneri può essere considerato essenzialmente un creatore di miti. Dalle molteplici offerte dell’esistenziale egli tende, appunto, a carpire un senso, il significato riposto, l’eco di una verità criptica, e a quel senso, assegnare una divisa formale in grado di trasferirlo in una dimensione senza tempo. In questa operazione, ovviamente, è implicita la volontà di dissolvere le ombre della contingenza, di abolire le contraddizioni, di ricomporre i dissidi, le caratteristiche cioè del transeunte, per instaurare quella unità che presuppone l’ordine indefettibile, la sovrana armonia.
