COMUNICATO STAMPA MICHELE DE LUCA Pittore di luce → I lavori di Michele De Luca sono giocati sulle trasparenze e vibrazioni del colore che lambisce i diversi materiali del supporto, a volte contrapposti come legno e alluminio, e sulle gestuali sbavature che la luce attraversa fendendo l’immagine. La luce è rappresentata come veicolo di comunicazione, è l’artefice che diventa nell’Opera componente linguistica. Come scrive Luca Pietro Nicoletti “Michele De Luca lavora proprio su questa scommessa: tradurre in pittura, quindi attraverso la concretezza materiale di un medium, qualcosa di pienamente impalpabile… La vibrazione cromatica che ne scaturisce, con la leggerezza del colore diluitissimo ma con l’evidenza del segno, provoca dunque uno sfondato in profondità: la luce, come un neon, è un fascio di energia lanciato in un’oscurità siderale”. L’energia anima queste composizioni astratte, dove non esistono figure volumetriche, ma la loro proiezione luminosa. De Luca “Pittore di luce” porta nei suoi quadri strutture evanescenti che possiedono una forza in relazione alla forma, al colore, alla luce e fissano un ordine definitivo, nel quale tutte le componenti si contengono vicendevolmente, in modo che nessuna prevalga sull’altra. Sono forme autonome, su uno sfondo vuoto, in modo tale che esse non si adattano ad alcun schema ma vengono tenute in equilibrio tra gli elementi primari che la compongono: colore e luce.
